IKO Gutter Replacement: The Fresno Owner’s Guide
IKO gutter replacement in Fresno typically runs $9 to $18 per linear foot installed for standard 5-inch aluminum gutters, with most single-story homes landing between $1,400 and $2,600 for a full gutter run replacement. We stock IKO-compatible gutter components on our trucks and can usually complete a standard replacement in one day. Most Fresno homeowners discover the problem the same way: a gutter seam pulling apart after a heavy winter rain, or a downspout that’s separated from the gutter body and is dumping water against the foundation.
IKO is known for roofing materials first, but their gutter and drainage line shows up on a lot of Valley homes, particularly newer construction in Clovis and northeast Fresno where IKO shingles were part of the original build package. When the gutter system starts to fail, it’s rarely the shingles’ fault. It’s usually the cheap aluminum or vinyl the builder paired with them.
Key takeaways:
- We install IKO-compatible aluminum gutters and downspouts, plus aftermarket options that match IKO specs
- Replacement is usually a one-day job with a written price before we start
- IKO’s gutter line was discontinued in most U.S. markets, so exact OEM replacements are getting harder to source
- Every installation carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing
Which IKO Models This Applies To
IKO’s gutter products were sold under a few different names over the years, mostly bundled with their roofing systems. The most common ones we see in Fresno are the IKO Shield and IKO AquaFlow gutter lines, both 5-inch K-style aluminum profiles. If your home has 6-inch half-round gutters, those are almost certainly not IKO, and we’ll tell you that straight before quoting anything.
Here’s the compatibility gotcha most homeowners don’t know: IKO K-style gutters use a slightly tighter radius in the bottom bead than standard K-style from other manufacturers. That means generic hangers can seat loosely, and aftermarket end caps sometimes won’t seal tight on the original IKO gutter body. We carry hangers and end caps specifically matched to the IKO profile, and we’ve installed enough of both to know when an aftermarket piece will actually hold versus when it’s worth the extra $3 for the correct fit.
If you’re not sure what you have, check the inside of the gutter near a corner. IKO stamps a small “IKO” logo on the interior face of most of their aluminum extrusions. If the stamp is gone or too weathered to read, measure the width across the top opening. 5 inches means standard IKO K-style. If it’s 6 inches or looks like a half-pipe, we’re in different territory, and we’ll identify it when we come out.
On the OEM-versus-aftermarket question: IKO has largely exited the gutter market in the U.S., so true OEM replacement sections are scarce. The good news is that a quality .032-gauge aluminum K-style gutter from a reputable manufacturer matches or beats IKO’s original extrusion thickness. We source from manufacturer lines including GAF, CertainTeed, and Owens Corning for roofing materials, and our gutter stock comes from the same supply houses that serve Fresno’s higher-end builders. We’ll put the brand on the quote so you know exactly what you’re paying for.

Signs Your IKO Gutter Replacement Is Failing
- Water sheeting down the fascia board during rain. This means the gutter is either pitched wrong or the back edge has pulled away from the fascia. IKO’s original hanger clips were aluminum and prone to stretching in Valley heat cycles, especially on south-facing runs.
- Seams separating at the corners. Older IKO installations used seams sealed with caulk or mastic, not the sealed one-piece corners we use now. Fresno’s summer sun bakes that sealant brittle, and the first hard rain separates it. This is the single most common gutter failure we see in Fresno.
- Downspout has pulled away from the gutter outlet. The outlet tube on IKO gutters was crimped rather than riveted on some production years. Once it loosens, every rain sends a waterfall down the side of the house. Water pooling at the foundation line is usually the result.
- Visible corrosion or white powder on the aluminum. That white oxidation is aluminum breaking down. In Fresno, it’s accelerated by the hard water from sprinkler overspray hitting the gutter exterior. Once the aluminum is pitted, patching is a temporary band-aid, not a fix.
- Gutter sagging between hangers. IKO’s original hanger spacing was sometimes done at 4-foot intervals. Fresno get real wind, and overweighted sections start to pull. If you can see the gutter droop from the street, the hangers or the fascia wood behind them have already given up.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
| Scope | Price Range (Installed) |
|---|---|
| Single gutter section replacement (up to 20 ft) | $180 – $360 |
| Full gutter replacement, average single-story home | $1,400 – $2,600 |
| Full gutter replacement, two-story or steep roofline | $2,400 – $4,200 |
| Downspout replacement (per downspout) | $85 – $160 |
| Gutter guard installation (per linear foot) | $6 – $12 |
Those numbers include the gutter material, hangers, end caps, downspouts, and labor. What moves the price is mostly lineal footage, how many corners are involved, and whether the fascia board behind the gutter is rotted and needs a repair section. We write all of that on the quote before any work starts, and the number doesn’t change at the door. That’s the Garrison Standard, and it applies whether we’re replacing one gutter run on a Tower District bungalow or a full system on a new build in Woodward Park.
Every IKO gutter replacement we install is backed by the 365-Day Done Right Promise: a written guarantee for one full year, and if it fails, we come back at no charge. No fine print, no prorating.
DIY or Call Us?
Replacing a gutter section isn’t a high-voltage job, but it’s not a casual Saturday project either. The ladder work is the real hazard, especially on two-story Fresno homes where you’re working at 16 to 20 feet off the ground. Getting a 20-foot section of aluminum gutter up a ladder solo is how people get hurt. We say this plainly because we’ve seen the aftermath of DIY gutter jobs gone wrong.
What you can safely do: clear debris from the gutter bed, check the downspout outlet for clogs, and take photos of the separation or sag so you know what you’re describing when you call. What we’d rather you not do: attempt to re-seat hangers from a ladder, remove or replace a full gutter section, or work on any gutter connected to a steep roof pitch without proper tie-offs.

FAQs
In Fresno’s climate, IKO aluminum gutters typically last 15 to 25 years, but the seals and hangers tend to fail sooner, often within 8 to 12 years. The Valley’s heat cycling is harder on caulk and aluminum hanger clips than the metal itself. Call (559) 785-2160 for a free evaluation if your gutters are over 10 years old and showing any of the failure signs above.
A single separated seam or a loose downspout outlet can usually be repaired for under $200. If you have multiple failing seams, widespread hanger pullout, or pitted aluminum, replacement is the honest recommendation. We’ll show you exactly why on-site before quoting anything.
A standard single-story home gutter replacement in Fresno is a one-day job from start to finish, including removal of the old gutters and cleanup. Two-story homes or complex rooflines may take a second day. We’ll tell you the timeline when we quote it.
Yes. We carry IKO-specific hangers, end caps, and downspout outlets on our trucks, along with full gutter sections for same-day replacement where the scope fits. If a trim piece or outlet isn’t on the truck, we can typically source it from a Fresno supply house within 24 hours.
